San Francisco Sport and Spine Physical Therapy has moved into a new 4,000 square foot space at Battery and Market, consolidating its SoMa and Commercial Street locations, to better serve clients in and around downtown San Francisco.

San Francisco Sport and Spine Physical Therapy is excited to announce their new location at Battery and Market, in downtown San Francisco.

San Francisco Sport and Spine Physical Therapy’s new location provides for an enhanced patient experience by consolidating their SoMa office, formerly located inside AIM Fitness at 215 Fremont, and their Financial District office, formerly located at 632 Commercial Street. The new advantages for clients include: convenient location near public transportation, flexibility in appointment times, and improved communication among the physical therapists.

"We took our time finding the right place to increase our space and make sure we were in the best location to serve both the Financial District and SoMa," notes Kim Parker, clinic director. "We are very happy to have a clinic where we can continue to grow and help people. We’re going to be hiring more physical therapists soon.” The new downtown clinic is hosting a hiring event for physical therapists for all of the company’s locations on March 31st.

Physical therapists are health care professionals who diagnose and manage individuals of all ages, from newborns to elders, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Physical therapists examine each individual and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical therapists also work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

"I love talking to people about physical therapy," says Parker. "Simply put, physical therapists are experts in human movement. We help people get back to doing what they love or need to do. Physical therapy is not massage, nor does it often require a referral from a physician. If someone has a problem preventing him or her from participating in a movement activity, from climbing stairs to climbing a mountain, it's likely we can help.”

San Francisco Sport and Spine Physical Therapy specializes in treating injuries of the neck, feet, and everything in between. They have 5 locations in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin.
