After $2 Million-Plus In Renovations, First Lineup Debuts At New Theater

The more than $2 million in renovations to the new Legends in Concert® theater (http://www.LegendsinConcert.com) at Myrtle Beach's Broadway at the Beach are complete and the show is open.

The first set of tribute artists will perform through May 21. The lineup will include Elvis, portrayed by Victor Trevino Jr.; Michael Jackson, portrayed by William Hall; Dolly Parton, portrayed by Sandy Anderson; Little Richard, portrayed by Garry Moore; The Blues Brothers, portrayed by Eric Martin and Carmen Romano; and Jay Leno, portrayed by Marcel Forestieri. The Jay Leno tribute artist will be making a limited special appearance from March 17 through April 16.

On Stage Entertainment COO Brian Brigner also announced that Tom Jones, portrayed by Steve McCoy, will take the place of Leno when his run concludes, and remain with the cast through May 21. McCoy comes out of the Legends in Concert theater in Las Vegas, where he has received two decades of rave reviews for his impersonation of the legendary Welshman.

"Yesterday's opening of our new state-of-the-art theater marked the most exciting day in our 15-year history on the Grand Strand,” said Chris Beattie, regional general manager for Legends in Concert. “With our unparalleled theater amenities, newest and most intimate venue, and a cast full of tribute artists who are recognized as the best in the business, we were ready to re-open in a very big way.”

The 600-seat theater will introduce several features to the area for the first time, including a projected stage with seating surrounding on three sides; state-of-the-art production lighting; side stage monitors for close-up views from every seat; and programmable colored LED lighting accents in the lobby. It will also have nearly 50 V.I.P. table booths available.

Legends in Concert is owned by the Las Vegas-based entertainment production company On Stage Entertainment and first burst onto the Las Vegas stage nearly 30 years ago. There are full-time locations in Las Vegas and Branson, Mo., and more than a dozen other shows that tour throughout the year on international cruise ships and live venues around the country. The show has run in the Myrtle Beach area for 15 years.
