Elegant Linens is now carrying perhaps the most novel and most discussed of the spring 2011 luxury bedding collections: the exciting collaboration between the visually playful, elegantly-minded runway fashion designer, Peter Som, and the renown luxury bedding designer, Sferra. Their collection includes four signature beds, the Chrysanthemum, the Newport Floral—available in two distinct colors, and the Damask bed. Along with P.S. I Love You and Pick Stitch sheeting, the Astrid coverlet and shams, and the Peony quilt, Sferra/Peter Som's luxury bedding spring collection represents 2011 trends beautifully. The Newport Floral bed appears in both the season's favored blue and a bright, spring avocado color; the Peony matelassé coverlet has the stitching detail of floral bouquets and is only available in fresh white; and the French-inspired Damask bed with subtle tones speaks to the quiet elegance of spring. Sferra adds, “Decorative accessories include five different 100% linen pillows, each with exquisite embroidery. The Monogram, Chepstow, Trellis, Bloom and Isabell pillows coordinate with the collection to finish the look.” In its entirety, the collection demonstrates Sferra and Peter Som's excellence and forward-thinking in design. These designs can be seen online at http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/Sferra-Bros.htm.
Along with the Sferra/Peter Som luxury bedding collections, Elegant Linens will also be carrying Peacock Alley's extensive new spring arrivals. From the modern, white seersucker Biscayne bed to the Olympia bed which features a traditional medallion design in the season's blue, brown, and taupe, Peacock Alley's spring collection features a wealth of luxurious variety and elegant taste. One ensemble, the Eucalyptus, features a fine leaf pattern in beige set against a blue mist background and is available in a bed scarf and shams set; the Grimaldi bed scarf and shams are available in spring colors mist and pearl. They are also offering the Marcella, a sumptuous-looking jacquard with a damask pattern in mist and the Sloan, a hounds-tooth, yarn-dyed sateen in mocha. The Mandalay bed, available in the soft spring colors of khaki, mist and moss, is 100% linen with contrasting piping. New matelassés now available are the Othello, and Oxford (available in both scalloped diamond and tailored styles). Blue mist, whites and pearl, and light browns color Peacock Alley's spring luxury bedding collections, further highlighting 2011 spring luxury bedding color themes.
Other notables on the market this spring for luxury bedding lovers are SDH's Elba, Malta, Lino and Ruby collections, beds that have traditional elements and 2011's light, spring colors. SDH also brought out a white generation of their Marrakesh collection, and added smoke and white to the colors available for their Genoa ensemble. Libeco bedding added the Catalina, alive in fresh, crisp 100% linen, available in either striped or solid blue and straw, true sand and sky colors of a beach-flavored spring. Matouk revealed its Bryant Park bed, which has a matelassé sateen coverlet in either white or ivory, with eight different colors available for the color cuff. Greenbriar is Matouk's other subtle and soft 2011 luxury bedding contribution, featuring a large-scale caning design, available in sky, jade, ivory, champagne, sterling and white.
Elegant Linens is also carrying de Medici's spring Tessa, Liena and Lenora lines. de Medici's Lenora bed provides the luxury bedding market with a relatively rare element: the full bedspread. Lulu DK's Stella and Pierre spring ensembles complete Elegant Linens' spring offerings.
