Congratulations to Simon Smyth, the winner of the 4 Wheel Parts WARN 9.5cti Winch Contest. 4 Wheels Parts, America’s largest distributor of off-road parts for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs, recently held a contest on Facebook to give away Warn Industries’ latest model electric winch: the WARN 9.5cti winch. During the month of February, off-roaders could enter to win the WARN 9.5cti winch by “liking” the 4 Wheel Parts page on Facebook and then posting an image and story about getting stuck while off-roading. The contest winner, Simon Smyth, described how he inadvertently drove his Jeep into soft mud when he tried to help another vehicle that was stuck. Read Smyth’s story here.

Simon Smyth, who drives a 2005 Jeep Rubicon, began off-roading when he traded his car for a 4x4 truck. Smyth initially planned to sell the truck, but he changed his mind after taking it off-road a few times. A year later, he upgraded to the Jeep, which he now uses to explore backcountry trails in Alberta. His Jeep is upgraded with a 2.5” Old Man Emu suspension system by ARB, plus a 1.25" body lift to clear his 35x13.5 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The Jeep carries a full-size spare on a Trail-Gear rear bumper with tire carrier. Other modifications include a Currie track bar and custom heavy-duty front upper and lower control arms with Johnny Joints. In the future, Smyth wants to install a coilover suspension, custom long arms, and new front and rear bumpers, among other things. Given his love for the trails and mud holes of Alberta, Smyth’s new WARN 9.5cti winch is a much-needed off-road accessory.

When asked about the 4 Wheel Parts store and website, Smyth said, “4 Wheel Parts has a great selection of quality parts and accessories, and great prices on products and shipping. The website is easy to use and they have excellent customer service.”
