Eight Utility Companies Receive MEA's Accident Prevention Award

Midwest ENERGY Association (MEA) is proud to present Accident Prevention Awards to City of Waukee; Ponca Public Gas; City of Fort Morgan; Midwest Energy, Inc.; Ameren IL; Source Gas; ComEd, an Exelon Company; and DTE Energy.

Midwest ENERGY Association (MEA) is proud to present Accident Prevention Awards to City of Waukee; Ponca Public Gas; City of Fort Morgan; Midwest Energy, Inc.; Ameren IL; Source Gas; ComEd, an Exelon Company; and DTE Energy. Companies are awarded for the lowest Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) incidents and lowest number of OSHA incident reports in the year 2010 by employee hours worked. The accident survey was conducted among the utility members of MEA.

The following companies have the lowest number for DART and OSHA:

  • City of Waukee
  • Ponca Public Gas
  • City of Fort Morgan
  • Midwest Energy Inc.

The following companies have the lowest DART among the survey respondents:

  • Ameren IL
  • ComEd, an Exelon Company

The following companies have the lowest OSHA incidents among the survey respondents:

  • Source Gas
  • DTE Energy
