Troy, MI (PRWEB) March 17, 2011
ETA is pleased to announce the R2 version of its finite element modeling software, PreSys™. Available immediately through ETA and its world-wide distribution network, this version seamlessly interfaces with Moldex3D, the world’s leading Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software product for the plastics injection molding industry. This new development allows a user to import and edit existing Moldex3D models; to quickly create complex Moldex3D shell models; then export the models for analysis.
By accessing Moldex3D through the user-friendly PreSys™ interface, the model creation process can be automated and streamlined for greater efficiency. PreSys™ offers many flexible and intuitive functions for quickly creating Moldex3D models and editing the designs. The tools offered within PreSys™ include advanced surface handling, automated part thickness mapping functions, as well as runner definition. Ultimately, the PreSys™ environment provides a gateway for users to access these models and use them as the basis for further structural, durability, NVH and impact analyses.
A core solution for finite element analysis engineers, PreSys™ is cost-effective software tool, which also interfaces with popular CAD software products such as CATIA, Unigraphics, ProEngineer, Solidworks and AutoCAD; while also offering CAD-based finite element meshing capabilities. It allows product development engineers and simulation specialists to access design data, quickly create complex finite element models and create insightful simulations.
Building upon its initial release in June of 2010 and the R1 release in October 2010, PreSys™ now offers added functionality and broader potential. The software tool is available on the Windows platform, directly through ETA and its distributor network. To find out more, please visit http://www.eta.com/index.php/moldex3d-interface-for-presys.
