Women On The Move—an organization dedicated to the progression of young women as they continue their education and achieve their personal and professional goals—will be hosting its 5th annual Herstory Month Tour on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at New York University.

The tour is being hosted by Fuse TV’s Dee Vazquez and will feature a panel discussion with various women from all walks of life sharing their personal stories of overcoming adversity and achieving success and happiness in both their personal and professional lives.

“Women On the Move is one of the most influential women empowerment tours that the Tri-State area has ever witnessed,” said Dee Vazquez of Fuse TV. “In today’s society, we need to ensure that grown women, young ladies and girls alike are interconnected as one—that something personal, something undeniable and ultimately authentic brings them together on one similar common ground.”

In recent years the WOM tour has been successful in reaching out to women in different cities and providing them with invaluable information and resources on how progress in their lives.

“Our main goal is to give our students insight on the different career opportunities that are available to them,” said Amber Ravenel. “Furthermore, to coach and mentor our students on exactly how to achieve their goals.”

WOM is adamant about the importance of offering women an outlet for them to be able to turn to and seek advice and encouragement from women who have been in their shoes before.

“Our goal with the tour is to help and make an impact on the lives of as many women as possible,” said Amber Ravenel . “But if we are able to touch the life of even just one woman, that it is a success.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to come out and support Women On the Move and the nationally renowned Herstory Tour.
