“The idea of outsourced physicians is a good solution, as the issue of how healthcare will be provided and paid for, gets clarified."

“Our team is comprised of well-respected and seasoned physicians, and that allows us to concentrate on the specific needs of our clients,” James McLean, President of Hospital Team Care's Western Division, said. “In time, we will grow and recruit more colleagues, but we won’t ever bite off more than we can chew, as that would compromise our quality. Once quality is compromised, in terms of any service, the results become average.”
While America anticipates the May 25th hearing, in which the appeal will be heard for District Judge Roger Vinson's unconstitutional ruling of the Affordable Care Act, the future of physician services and hospitals continues to raise much concern.
Hospitals are frightened because their compensation will be based on all sorts of things. It’d be tied to readmission rates, payment of physicians, and it could change from fee-for-service, to risk-based compensation, such as capitation, said Jeff Cohen, Owner of Florida Healthcare Law Firm, in Delray Beach.
“We’ve already seen a number of lawsuits challenging the law, and it is clear that its constitutionality will be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court,” Cohen said. “The idea of outsourced physicians is a good solution, as the issue of how healthcare will be provided and paid for, gets clarified. It involves lower employer liability and flexibility, that many hospitals will prefer over a long-term solution in this shifting market.”
According to a recent article, published in ModernHealthcare.com., of the numerous challenges hospitals face today, a few that top the list are annual budgets, and a steady serge of lawsuits. Equally as pressing, is a steady increase in the number of patients that hospitals treat, coupled with a substantial decrease in available physicians. Depending on the outcome of the Affordable Care Act, doctors are predicted to be seeing more patients, while earning less pay.
“Getting the correct physicians in place is a key factor in providing excellent patient care, and ultimately preventing lawsuits,” McLean said. “There is no better way to attain desired outcomes, than by relying on those industry leaders to perform what they do, such as, outsourced physician services.”
