Over the last several months, Neverblue has been working on a global basis with leading Internet brands like Groupon. “This new office will allow us to service Groupon and additional established brands with greater local expertise, deeper regional media engagement, more effective client service and even more services," said Gerritsen. According to industry researcher Internet World Stats, there are 825 million Internet users in Asia. With only 10% penetration in Asia, this region represents the highest-growth opportunity to aggressively expanding Internet companies. Asia’s online ad market is expected to be worth $22 billion in the next three years, according to a report by industry research firm, eMarketer. Additionally, the report stated that Asia will overtake North America as the largest advertising market by 2014. Plus, industry researcher IDC estimates there are two billion mobile phone users in Asia.
Neverblue also launched a European regional office in Amsterdam in February.
