Tales2Go LLC announced today the launch of a new program to help parents raise money for cash-strapped schools. Now parents can link their Tales2Go account to their kids’ school, and in doing so allow Tales2Go to give designated schools 10% of every subscription a parent makes on the award-winning service. Tales2Go can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store, and after an initial 30-day free trial, users can choose between three subscription plans: one month ($2.99), three months ($6.99) and one year ($24.99).

“Tales2Go is popular with both teachers and parents. With this new program, we’re excited to pair a cutting edge mobile app with tried and true school fundraising techniques,” said William S. Weil, CEO and Co-Founder of Tales2Go. “Kids love listening to stories. Teachers utilize audiobooks both as a reading resource and tool to build critical listening and comprehension skills. And parents are looking for entertaining alternatives to screen time.”

Existing and new Tales2Go subscribers can designate schools by visiting http://www.tales2go.com/m4s_parents. There are several thousand schools listed at present. Parents will be able to add a school to the list if it’s not already there – as can teachers, school administrators or PTA/PTO representatives at http://www.tales2go.com/m4s_schools.

School administrators should feel free to reach out to schools@tales2go.com with any questions. Payments will be calculated and made semi-annually (in June and December), with the first payment distributed at the end of 2011. Amounts less than $50.00 will be accrued.
