Singapore (PRWEB) March 23, 2011

iTwin is delighted to have won a 2011 red dot product design award. The company’s newly launched product, called iTwin, reinvents the traditional USB drive by providing simple and secure on-the-go access to all one’s files. It has been awarded the “red dot” seal of quality for high design quality by red dot’s panel of highly respected experts.

More than 1,000 guests from the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on July 4, 2011, at the opera house, Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany. Following this event, iTwin will be put on public display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum.

Today’s announcement marks another accolade for iTwin, following recognition by Frost & Sullivan, TechCrunch and the Singapore Design Awards.

“We are proud to receive the red dot award for product design. When designing iTwin, we put in tremendous effort to get the details perfected to the point that we were happy with the finished product. It is thrilling to see the outcome recognized by such a prestigious award. We hope people will try iTwin for themselves and see how it can make their life better”, said iTwin’s CEO Lux Anantharaman.

Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and president of the red dot design award, commented, “As always, our jury cast a very careful eye over the products submitted. Design quality has asserted itself clearly in the judging process, with genuine and new creative solutions also being rewarded. Both of these criteria are not just yardsticks for good design, but also for the potential for success on the market.”

This year, designers and companies from 60 countries entered 4,433 products in the red dot award: product design.

iTwin was launched in October 2010 and was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2011. The CES presence was accompanied by high-profile coverage, garnering praise from the New York Times, CNET, the Wall Street Journal, PC World and Dow Jones Venture Wire.
