Laser Link Golf has started the northern golf season by adding some impressive names to the company’s already long list of ‘Laser Linked’ courses. The most well known newcomers this year include Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, located in Southampton, NY, and Milwaukee Country Club, located in River Hills, WI. Both clubs have rich golfing histories, and both are included as members of Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses. With the addition of these two clubs, Laser Link Golf now boasts 64 of the 100 entries on the Golf Digest list as ‘Laser Linked’ courses.

“We’re proud to be affiliated with clubs of this caliber,” said Rob O’Loughlin, president of Laser Link Golf. “The best clubs want the best products, and that is why we are their choice. Our System is the best because it is the fastest, simplest, and most accurate method to measure distance on the golf course.”

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is one of the most well known courses in the United States. The club is currently ranked 3rd on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses, and it has been a site for USGA Championships for over one hundred years. The most recent was Retief Goosen’s US Open win in 2004, but many will remember the 1995 US Open and Corey Pavin’s perfectly struck four-wood to the 18th green that led him to the championship.

Milwaukee Country Club has also served as a stop for the USGA over the years. Tournaments include the 1969 Walker Cup and most recently the 2008 United States Mid-Amateur Championship. The club currently sits at 52nd on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses.

About Laser Link Golf

The System is designed to speed up play and add enjoyment to the game. It is in use at more than 2,800 private clubs around the country, and several more daily fee courses. New this year is the CartLink System – the affordable cart-mounted GPS alternative that golf courses can install without breaking the budget. They are involved in Laser Link Golf for the same reason they got involved in SoftSpikes® – both are good for the game!
