Today marks the national launch of athletic accessories brand, Balconi – an innovative product line designed by athletes to help consumers perform at their best, no matter the conditions. Making good on a childhood promise to her father, Balconi CEO, Reneé Balconi followed her passion all the way to Iceland in pursuit of a professional soccer career years ago. Fulfilling her passion every day, she was exposed to playing in some of the most extreme weather conditions; wind, snow, rain, sleet, hail, sun, she played in it all. Due to the extreme weather she was often forced to wear winter hats to keep warm, but soon realized that she needed a more breathable, functional option that would allow heat to escape, but also protect her from the sun; the Balconi Hat was then born.

Fast-forward to today, the Balconi Hat is now a patented product, proudly made here in the U.S. and worn by athletes, outdoor enthusiasts and even those who are simply style-savvy. Originally designed for performance purposes, its key features protect the eyes and ears from the wind and cold, while also allowing breathability that other hats fail to provide.

“After creating this hat based on my personal needs as an athlete, I realized that I had to do something that was bigger than just myself. I started Balconi to give others a company and brand that would believe in them.
