FMC Corporation announces Daniel Bender of Poseyville, Ind., as the 2010 winner in the Bag More Bucks with FMC contest. Bender won the grand prize of a $10,000 Cabela’s® gift card.

“I’m really appreciative and was not expecting this at all,” said Bender before adding, “I am an outdoorsman, so this gift will be put to good use. I am very grateful.”

The open contest for all growers included collected entries from the Cotton Beltwide Conference, Commodity Classic, Mid-South Farm and Gin Show, National Farm Machinery Show, California Association of Pest Control Advisors and Ohio Farm Science Review in 2010. Bag More Bucks with FMC was a tradeshow opportunity with the grand prize winner selected from all collected entries. During each individual tradeshow event, daily winners were drawn to win a $250 Cabela’s gift card.

“This contest gives all growers the opportunity to win by attending the tradeshows, where they also can learn more about FMC products,” says Paul Redhage, FMC Strategic Communications Manager. “The booth provides information about increasing yields and improving returns on investments through exploration of our wide portfolio of crop solutions.”

Bender currently uses Capture® LFR® insecticide to fight cutworms, wireworms and grubs in his corn fields. With 2,000 acres of farmland, Bender partners with his brother to manage corn, wheat, soybeans and alfalfa along with a cow-calf operation.
