Our strong focus toward diversification and lean manufacturing allows EMI to thrive while others struggle in this increasingly competitive marketplace.
Sterling Heights, MI (PRWEB) March 29, 2011
Earlier this month, EXPERI-METAL INC. (EMI) earned national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise through the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC). WBENC’s standard of certification is an intensive process that includes an in-depth review of the business and facility inspection to confirm that it is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
EMI earned this prestigious certification thanks to Valiena A. Allison, who joined the company in September of 1988 as a receptionist. Her hard work, enthusiasm, innovative thinking and strategic planning insight allowed Valiena to progress to her current position as President and CEO and EMI to become a world class supplier of metal stampings and assemblies for the automotive, aerospace, military and alternative energy industries world-wide.
“I’m delighted that my 22 years of service and growth at Experi-Metal has earned us this coveted certification,” Allison stated. “Our strong focus toward diversification and lean manufacturing allows EMI to thrive while others struggle in this increasingly competitive marketplace. Our highly skilled workforce, strong program management and dedication to excellence allow EMI to provide consistently superior customer service.”
