This event will bring together development professionals online for a conference to learn about creating a strong unrestricted major gifts program with support from board members and other volunteers for health care and educational institutions.

This session will focus on the experiences of Children's Hospital Los Angeles which engaged volunteers to raise over $5 million in unrestricted support in cash and pledges in two years. The speakers will discuss the model used to engage volunteers to raise unrestricted gifts and to identify major donors within prospect pools.

Two distinguished leaders in philanthropy will present this online professional development session for fundraising professionals in health care and educational institutions. Jenny Davidson, Assistant Vice President of Major and Planned Gifts at Children's Hospital Los Angeles will join Kathy Rose, a member of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Children's Fund for Children's Hospital Los Angeles to share their expertise on creating a successful unrestricted major gifts program.

Attendees will learn a fundraising model that addresses institutional need for operating dollars or "mission based giving" and gain a better understanding of how to engage volunteers at the major gift level. The session will also discuss how to utilize the annual fund pool to identify unrestricted major gifts prospects and volunteer leaders.
