American Humane Association’s Hero Dog Awards ™ launched yesterday at http://www.herodogawards.org,
with the help of WizeHive’s Contest Management Software. The Film & Television Unit of American Humane Association is heading up the search for America’s top Hero Dogs. Dogs are nominated in eight categories; Law Enforcement and Arson Dogs; Service Dogs; Therapy Dogs; Military Dogs; Guide Dogs; Search and Rescue Dogs; Hearing Dogs; and Emerging Hero Dogs.
The contest program is being run on the WizeHive Contest Platform. The Contest Software provides the entry intake and will also manage the voting process after the nomination time period has ended. With two dogs himself, WizeHive CEO Michael Levinson said, “We are excited to be working with American Humane Association on this project. It's for a great cause that I personally support.”
Nominations of a dog are free and close on May 31, while public voting will begin on June 1. At that time, WizeHive's Contest Software will provide an easy method for the public to choose their favorite Hero Dog in each of the eight categories. All of the finalists will be flown to Hollywood, where they will walk the red carpet before the black-tie awards event on Oct. 1.
