This app represents the best of what the iPad has to offer: easy access to well-designed educational content

Exprima Media, Portland, OR-based educational app developer, has produced an iPad app to serve coffee farmers in the Americas and Africa.

Exprima partnered with Sustainable Harvest, a B Corporation coffee importing business based in Portland, Oregon. Part of the Sustainable Harvest mission is to provide education for coffee farmers.

The two companies worked together to create an iPad app that delivers educational videos to remote coffee farmers in Mexico, Peru, and Tanzania via iPads supplied to coffee coop employees. The app--which is available in English, Spanish, and Swahili--currently hosts a library of training videos in agricultural best practices, farm diversification, and food security. Future plans for the app include health-related content and social media features to connect coffee farmers from around the globe.

Staff from Sustainable Harvest and Exprima Media recently went on-site for the app's launch at a coffee coop in San Ignacio, Peru.

“This app represents the best of what the iPad has to offer: easy access to well-designed educational content.” says Corey Pressman, President of Exprima Media.
