The Maritz Institute's Mary Beth McEuen Presents "True Engagement in the New Normal" at HR Summit US 2011

McEuen will discuss how to engage, understand and motivate people in the "new normal" based on the convergence of biology, sociology, neuroscience, psychology and economics.

Mary Beth McEuen, vice president and executive director at The Maritz Institute, will lead a workshop at the 2011 HR Summit in Scottsdale, Ariz., entitled, “True Engagement – A New Paradigm for the New Normal.”

Whether you call today’s business environment the “new normal,” the “not normal,” or just unsettling, things have changed. McEuen will address the issues companies are facing as a result of this “new normal” to help companies engage, understand and motivate their people.

Participants in the workshop will:

  •     Hear how academics and business leaders view the current business environment and the need for dramatic change;
  •     Learn about a new model for engaging and motivating people based on the convergence of biology, sociology, neuroscience, psychology and economics; and
  •     Understand how people’s values influence their engagement and how to use that knowledge to make truer connections with people and achieve business success.

The HR Summit US 2011 is designed specifically with the Chief HR Officer in mind to assist forward-thinking CHROs as they meet demands of transformation and prepare for the impact their role will have on the overall success of an organization’s sustainability and bottom line. The Summit runs from March 29–31, 2011.
