New conference covers the dynamic field of NoSQL technologies for enterprises.

NoSQL describes a range of technologies that offer alternatives to traditional SQL-based databases, often providing better performance at a lower cost. But they also come with risks and trade-offs.

Wilshire Conferences announced today the launch of NoSQL Now! a vendor-neutral forum celebrating the diversity of NoSQL technologies and helping businesses develop objective evaluation processes to match the right NoSQL solutions with the right business challenge. The company also announced its call for presentations for the conference, taking place at the San Jose Convention Center August 23-25, 2011. The conference web site is at: http://www.nosqlnow.com

Conference co-founders Tony Shaw and Dan McCreary explained the value and timing of the conference, “NoSQL describes a range of technologies that offer alternatives to traditional SQL-based databases, often providing better performance at a lower cost. But they also come with risks and trade-offs. Enterprises need to understand the full range of benefits, risks and design decisions if they are going to make smart choices about which technology is right for them. This is a fast-emerging and dynamic field where it pays to invest the time to thoroughly evaluate your options.”

NoSQL Now! is intended for every enterprise that needs to find better, faster and cheaper solutions to managing its fast growing databases and data stores. The educational program will be designed to accommodate all levels of technical understanding, from novice through expert, with an emphasis on the design and management needs of enterprise IT and big data applications. The venue will also provide opportunities for CTOs, developers and software entrepreneurs to meet and mix with potential customers and investors.

Wilshire Conferences is currently accepting presentation proposals for NoSQL Now! and is looking for a wide range of talks to be proposed across all technical levels and across all NoSQL technologies. Presentations that include SQL extensions and SQL-hybrid topics will also be considered. Full details on the speaking opportunities available at the conference, and guidelines for submission are available at http://nosql2011.wilshireconferences.com/cfp.cfm. Submissions are due by April 18th.
