Columbus, OH (PRWEB) March 27, 2011
PD Worx, LLC Principal Paul Kolada is pleased to announce that dsolv®, a compostable lawn system, has received the red dot design award in one of the world’s most renowned international product competitions. This month, a jury of highly respected experts awarded the “red dot” seal for high design quality to this innovative product.
“We are humbled by this recognition and pleased to know that a product so good for our environment is also recognizable in the design industry,” stated Kolada. “It’s a win, win for everyone involved,” he continued.
This year, designers and companies from 60 countries entered 4,433 products in the product design discipline of the red dot award competition. More than 1,000 guests from the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on July 4, 2011, which traditionally takes place in Essen Germany’s opera house, Aalto Theatre. The dsolv® system will then be on public display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum in Germany.
“As always, our jury cast a very careful eye over the products submitted. Design quality has asserted itself clearly in the judging process, with genuine and new creative solutions also being rewarded,” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, the initiator of the red dot design award. “Both of these criteria are not just yardsticks for good design, but also for the potential for success on the market,” continued Professor Zec.
About the dsolv® lawn system
The dsolv® lawn system includes eight compostable mesh lawn bags, a spring-loaded sleeve, and a comfort carrying handle. The sleeve is inserted into a mesh bag, which provides stability and holds the bag open for easy filling.
The dsolv® bags are made of a sustainable, plant-based resin and are rain-resistant, ventilated, and have a higher capacity than standard lawn bags. In addition, the mesh allows service providers to easily identify contents and edit contaminants prior to processing. Additional information is available at http://www.dsolvbag.com.
