A new web-based green educational training platform is being launched today: "Energy and Environmental Institute." The platform will focus on sustainability training in several verticals including energy, environment, water and agriculture. Its initial target markets are North and South America and Asia.

A new web-based green educational training platform is being launched today: "Energy and Environmental Institute." The platform will focus on sustainability training in several verticals including energy, environment, water and agriculture. Its initial target markets are North and South America and Asia. University programs are just now developing new coursework in this area. Energy and Environmental Institute (EEI) is a complement to existing college curricula. The capability of EEI is to deliver near real-time course work on cutting edge sustainability issues utilizing personal computers, tablets, and mobile applications on smart phones. With the growing shift to portability of web-enabled devices, it is a natural fit to create knowledge capital that can be delivered in a variety of electronic media globally.

Courses offered include: How to be an Environmental Consultant; Introduction to Carbon Trading and Finance; Sustainable Finance; LEED Certification; What is Cleantech?; Introduction to Renewable Energy; Conservation Finance and many others. All courses are created by experts in the field who will now have the opportunity of delivering their knowledge to the web.

"We can't make the transition to the low carbon economy without knowledge. That is the mission of Energy and Environmental Institute," said founder and CEO, Peter C. Fusaro. Mr. Fusaro is a best selling author and noted international authority on energy and environmental issues. It is significant that he was an early adapter of electronic information in the late 1980s/early 1990s through the Energy Listener enterprise which delivered analytical information to computers and fax machines which was the latest technology at that time.

Completing the management team are Frank Maresca and Joe Khoury. Mr. Maresca is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist who invests in the education and cleantech, and is CFO of the new company. Mr. Khoury is experienced technology expert who is CTO of the venture. Mr. Khoury has launched three successful Information Technology businesses. He has published articles in the IEEE Computer Society journals and holds several certifications in the information technology industry
