“Many of our guests are so appreciative of the opportunity to enjoy special experiences at our hotels. We are learning that this program is not only welcomed but applauded by them because it enables them to give a little something back at the same time.
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 28, 2011
Guests at Gaylord Hotels during the months of April and June can play a big part in helping to grant the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions. That’s because the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been selected as the featured charity to benefit from the brand’s Rooms for Good co-operative marketing/fundraising program. During the months of April and June, the four Gaylord Hotels properties will donate 10 percent of the Rooms for Good package rate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“When we grant children’s wishes, they receive more than just a memorable experience,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America president and chief executive officer. “It makes them feel stronger, happier, and more willing to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. Through the generosity of Gaylord Hotels and its guests, we will be able to give that hope, strength and joy to even more children.”
Gaylord Hotels will also use its significant advertising, public relations and social media platforms to help generate more awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“Our Rooms for Good program is a great opportunity for our guests to make a difference in an easy yet meaningful way,” said Amy Atkinson, vice president of leisure marketing and public relations, Gaylord Hotels. “Many of our guests are so appreciative of the opportunity to enjoy special experiences at our hotels. We are learning that this program is not only welcomed but applauded by them because it enables them to give a little something back at the same time. The chance for them to give a bit of help to make such a big difference in the life of a child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation adds a new level of meaning to their stay.”
The Rooms for Good program will feature a different charity each month. In addition to raising money for non-profit organizations, Gaylord Hotels will aim to also raise awareness of the cause through traditional marketing and social media outreach. Package rates start at $179* per couple/per night and include one-night accommodations and breakfast for two. This special rate will be offered to guests that stay at the hotel within a specific time frame.
*The rate varies per resort and excludes tax, parking and resort fee. More information is available at http://www.RoomsForGood.com.
