MockDraftHQ.com announced the launch of its new NFL Draft community today.

Many fans of the NFL think they they could do a better job than Mel Kiper and Todd McShay when it comes to covering the NFL Draft. Well, MockDraftHQ.com is a website that gives those fans a chance to create their own NFL mock draft just like the experts.

“The idea for the site came after many years of writing and posting mock drafts across the web,” says Darrin Washington, the founder of MockDraftHq.com. “It’s always a special time of the year for fans of the NFL so I wanted to create a website where fans can share the excitement of the draft.”

The draft has always been tough to predict, even for the experts. In 2007, Mel Kiper declared that Jamarcus Russell “would be a top five quarterback in three years,” which has proven to be completely false. In 2010, Todd McShay's mock drafts did not include Notre Dame Quarterback Jimmy Clausen in the first round. On MockDraftHQ.com fans have the chance to create their own draft and see how they stand amongst the pros. There are currently over 2800 drafts posted on the site.

The interactive site allows fans to scout players, draft them to teams, and share their picks with the world. Fans can post their NFL mock draft picks on their personal blogs, websites, or on their favorite forums. The site also has its own community where fans can interact and discuss the NFL Draft.
