anyone who cares about their government can now take action
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) April 15, 2011
The annual Orange County Government Leaders' Prayer Breakfast, an event that has served over 20,000 government leaders in the last 25 years, launches OCprayer.org (http://www.ocprayer.org), a website where those frustrated with their government can take action.
Since it's first meeting in 1986, the annual Orange County Government Leaders' Prayer Breakfast has relied on major donors to sponsor a unique event that brings together between 600-1000 government leaders every year. At the prayer breakfast, Federal, State, County and City leaders are encouraged through prayer by a well-known Orange County pastor, readings from the Bible, and a presentation of the Gospel with an invitation to respond. Carolyn Cavecche, Mayor of Orange, California, and a member of the prayer breakfast's leadership team, states, "There has never been an opportunity for those who aren't major donors to get involved with the success of this prayer breakfast. Many people are frustrated with their government, and there needs to be a way for them to feel like they can be involved and make a difference. With the launch of OCprayer.org anyone who cares about their government can now take action by selecting a government leader of their choice, committing to pray for them for the next year and sponsoring a seat for the prayer breakfast." Sponsorships are only $35.
Why is it important to sponsor a leader to attend the prayer breakfast? William G. Steiner, a former member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, as well as a former councilman and School Board Member, states, "I can tell you from experience that it is to our advantage to have faithful government leaders. When you sponsor a leader to attend the breakfast, you're giving them a chance to hear the message of God, and also encourage them through their tough daily duties."
