Online travel giant is celebrating after reaching 250,000 customer hotel reviews and 50,000 Facebook fans.

Managing director Paul Furner said: “We are delighted to have reached both of these milestones. Unlike other sites, at customers can only post hotel reviews once they’ve made a booking and returned home.

“This makes our customer reviews completely unbiased and authentic. Our customers really appreciate this and place a lot of trust in the reviews when they’re making their holiday decisions.”

The company launched its Facebook page in October 2010 and already has more than 50,000 Facebook fans, thanks to regular updates, competitions and topical chat on its wall.

“Engaging with our customers via social media has become really important to us and we have been delighted with how willing people are to interact with us on Facebook. Facebook is a great way to gauge opinions, deal with customer service issues and provide timely information to our customers” he said.
