inovia founder to moderate a panel on foreign filing best practices at next week's IP Counsel Café

inovia, the leading foreign filing platform provider, today announced that Justin Simpson, its founder and executive director, will moderate a panel on foreign filing best practices at next week’s IP Counsel Café in Palo Alto, CA.

With limited budgets, companies are re-evaluating where they are filing and prosecuting their patents. In a session entitled, “Foreign Filing and Prosecution,” Simpson will lead a group of panelists to discuss defensive filing strategies and enforcement, structuring foreign filing rights, and how best to position your company for growth.

The panelists include Intellectual Property experts from:

  • Clorox
  • Cochlear
  • NovaBay Pharmaceuticals
  • Symantec Corp.

During the session, Simpson will also share findings from inovia’s U.S. 2011 Global Patent & IP Trends Indicator, the company’s annual look at how the economy impacted global IP strategy in 2010 and will affect foreign filing plans in 2011.
