American Economic Planning Group, Inc., located in Warren, NJ, is encouraging its employees to participate in the Joseph E. Enright Foundation Health TREK on May 14, 2011. The bike ride raises money for melanoma awareness and skin cancer educational initiatives. Steven W. Kaye, President of American Economic Planning Group, Inc. announced that his company will match up to $100 in pledges/donations collected by each employee or family member that signs up to ride in the TREK. Kaye states, “As Certified Financial Planners, we are in the business of helping people. Our company match program helps to set the culture at my firm. We don’t just talk about helping people, we ‘walk the walk’.”
Kaye understands the importance of supporting local charities and he hopes to pass along his passion for the Joseph E. Enright Foundation to the rest of his company. “The Joseph E. Enright Foundation is all about educating and being informed. A little knowledge can be powerful and save lives.” He continues, “Encouraging participation will allow all of my staff and friends to be more health conscious while they promote this most worthwhile cause.”
The 3rd annual Joseph E. Enright Health TREK will begin at 7:00 am at Summit Medical Group, 1 Diamond Hill Road in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The TREK course will take cyclists through Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Long Hill, Basking Ridge and Harding.
The Joseph E. Enright Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the community about melanoma and other skin cancers. Founded in 1999, the organization is named after Dr. Joseph Enright, a Summit Medical Group physician who died in 1996 at the age of 37 from melanoma. The Joseph E. Enright Foundation develops lectures and programs that focus on prevention, early detection and treatment of skins cancers. The organization also provides scholarships to top-ranking students pursuing careers in health care.
