Belmont, MA (PRWEB) April 2, 2011
On the evening of April 12 at the Doubletree Hotel in Bedford, Massachusetts, women entrepreneurs and professionals will meet to build business contacts and to promote their products and services at a Fashion, Health and Beauty Networking Expo. But there’s something different about this event. Each woman will bring a pair - or more - of gently worn shoes to the hotel that evening.
The shoes will be donated to Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that collects and distributes used and unwanted shoes to those who need them. Launched in 2004 after the Indonesian tsunami, Souls4Souls has donated shoes to the needy after Katrina, after the Haitian earthquake, and now in Japan. Over 13 million shoes have been distributed, and Soles4Souls has been featured on Fox, NBC and CBS News, and touted by Broadway and Hollywood celebrities, fashion designers as well as Rock and Country Stars.
Marie Warner, Director of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Network says, "Women have always given back - whether volunteering to give their time or giving their dollars. But both money and time are tighter now. It's harder for many women entrepreneurs and professionals to give back. This event is a way to give back 'painlessly.' Each woman donating an old pair of shoes will receive a five dollar discount on the registration fee. You give to a worthwhile charity, network for business success, and shop for a new spring look - while cleaning out your closet!"
Marie continues, "Expo tables are nearly sold out, and we are actively registering attendees. Women business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate and non-profit professionals and those 'in between career adventures' are encouraged and welcome to join us."
Those interested in sponsoring, attending or in a vendor table may email the Marie Warner, Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
