Weighty issues aside, The Sloane Body Revolution is a non-profit project to change the way men and women feel about their health and their bodies. Their mission is to show that slimming can be done in a healthy, balanced and scientific manner. Furthermore, they want to demonstrate that weight loss can be achieved in a relatively short span of time and can be sustained for a long time after. Its driving focus is to empower people from all walks of life to be aware of their current lifestyles and to make a positive change in the right direction. It rallies people to defy expectations and transform their health and body today.
Despite all the media hype and marketing gimmicks, it suffices to say that slimming treatments that involve lighting one's tummy on fire, wrapping one's flabs in clingfilm, or steaming oneself like a Chinese dumpling to achieve an ideal body may not be the most effective solution. Instead, there are pain-free and drug-free ways to lose a few pounds and to tone up a flabby body.
To test the hypothesis that "weight loss is truly Mind over Matter", eight contestants yearning to transform their body in four weeks starting 1st April 2011 have been recruited into this project. They will pit their brawn, wits and condemned pockets of fat in their quest to be the next champion of The Sloane Body Revolution challenge.
While detractors may scoff that "if you don't mind, it won't matter", these eager contestants are determined to have the last laugh (that is if they still have the strength after all that dieting) as they undergo four weeks of supervised exercise, calorie controlled diet inspired by doctors from The Sloane Clinic and Body SLIMulator treatments to give their bodies the makeovers of their lives.
While many have long forgotten their stoic New Year’s resolutions and exercise has been reduced to the brief journey to and from work, it's still possible to garner that enthusiasm to make a change in one's lives. Exercise is the key to weight loss and toning-up and diet is also an integral part in the fight against fat. Based on this holistic approach, the Sloane Body Revolution have put their eight contestants through an integrated diet regime, moderate yet effective exercise routine and finally body toning treatments to bring them closer to a healthier lifestyle, a more pleasing physique and the body of their dreams. It is their hope that the contestants' journeys and stories will also inspire people all around them to make a positive difference in their life.
Achieving one's dreams and defying one's limits are not just reserved for privileged celebrities or supermodels. Even ordinary men and women can look special and deserve to feel special. Join these eight contestants in their journeys to body perfection which is documented on http://www.sloane-club.com/bodyrev/index.html as well as The Sloane Clinic's facebook page (http://www.sloaneclinic.com/facebook )
These are real life stories of normal people from all walks of life. Two contestants will be voted off each week so your votes are important to keep them in the competition and their dreams alive. You can vote online to keep your favourite contestant in the race!
