Redford, MI (PRWEB) April 4, 2011
The Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM) announces today a donation drive to benefit soldiers recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. The donation drive will run from April 1st through May 1st, 2011. All donated items will be delivered to Water Reed during National Police Week in Washington D.C. the week of May 15th.
“Visiting Walter Reed last year was a sobering wake up call. This year we want to far surpass what we were able to offer last year. We’re counting on the generosity of everyone in Southeast Michigan to help us give some basic necessities and small luxuries to the brave men and women who defend our country,” stated POAM President James Tignanelli.
