Suntricity Power brightened the Pennsylvania Solar Grid with a rooftop Solar Power Station at the Community Educational Center in Doylestown, Pa.

Our mission of child care and parent support means that we want to raise the next generation in a healthy environment

The students and families at the Community Educational Center in Doylestown, PA just got another reason to shine brighter thanks to a new 21.85 kW solar array installed by Suntricity Power. The array went live this month and will generate 29,751 kW hours over the next 12 months alone.

The new Suntricity Power array is a green engineering feat. It is comprised of 95 Mage 230-watt modules, each with their own micro-inverter to safely covert the high-voltage DC power to AC electricity. These components are working to eliminate 41% of the electric bills for the school each year.

Center owner Jeffra Nandan enjoys these energy savings, but she chose solar energy as doing her part for the environment, "Our mission of child care and parent support means that we want to raise the next generation in a healthy environment," she said. "We hope that children can understand and respect the resources around them so that future generations can have them to enjoy. Solar helps us do our part to preserve the environment."

And with the new Suntricity Power Solar Array, the CAC will certainly be having a positive impact on the environment. Over the next 25 years, the system is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 510 tons--about the weight of 110 elephants!

The array is also expected to last decades as a secure investment for the school. "The Mage Panels have a 30-year warranty, and after 30 years, the system will still be producing 80% of its power," explained Mark Hald, a Suntricity Power employee. "That means the children who use the center now will be able to come back with their own children and the system will still be producing clean, renewable power."
