Larry Ponemon of the Ponemon Institute joins Guardian Analytics CEO to discuss how financial institutions can minimize the risk of ACH fraud.

Guardian Analytics, the innovator in predictive analytics-based fraud prevention software, announced that CEO Terry Austin will be speaking at the PAYMENTS Conference tomorrow Wednesday, April 6. Joining Austin on stage will be Dr. Larry Ponemon, founder chairman at the privacy and information management research firm, Ponemon Institute. The PAYMENTS Conference, which takes place this week in Austin, Texas, is held by NACHA (The Electronics Payments Foundation), a national organization that manages the development, administration, and governance of the ACH Network, the backbone for the electronic movement of money and data.

Together, Austin and Ponemon will disclose the results from the second annual Business Banking Trust Study, which was released today and quantifies the extent of how payments fraud is crippling the relationship between financial institutions and small business customers.

Beyond providing an overview of the study’s results, the presenters will also reveal how cybercriminals compromise online corporate accounts and siphon money through the ACH Network, wire and bill pay. The speakers will also address how attendees can avert payments fraud by drawing from success stories at real institutions and highlighting proven strategies that will sustain trust with corporate customers while minimizing the risk of ACH fraud.
