With the SOASTA CloudTest Platform, organizations can deploy hundreds, or even thousands, of test servers around the globe in a matter of minutes to simulate expected demand.”

SOASTA, the leader in cloud-based performance testing, today announced that it has added additional testing locations to its massive global test platform for fast, scalable testing of Web and mobile applications. The SOASTA CloudTest Platform can now run on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in Japan; in Dubai, Switzerland and Hungary through RadixCloud; and on Cloud Central’s infrastructure in Australia. The broad reach of the SOASTA CloudTest Platform enables customers around the world to rapidly and cost-effectively simulate real-world traffic on a single platform that integrates data center infrastructure and private clouds with external resources including public clouds across the globe.

“With the SOASTA CloudTest Platform, organizations can deploy hundreds, or even thousands, of test servers around the globe in a matter of minutes to simulate expected demand,” said Tom Lounibos, SOASTA CEO. “Using a single test platform, they can start testing in their own lab and then extend those same tests externally. We look forward to continuing to rapidly expand our reach to better serve the growing market for global, cloud-based performance testing.”

The SOASTA CloudTest Platform enables cross-cloud testing from leading cloud providers such as Amazon, IBM, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace, GoGrid, ElasticHosts, RadixCloud and Cloud Central. The platform also supports private cloud software including Cloud.com and Eucalyptus. Through these partners, the SOASTA platform can leverage cloud infrastructure throughout the United States, Eastern and Western Europe, China, and now new locations in Australia, Japan and Dubai.

SOASTA CloudTest represents the first commercial software solution that seamlessly integrates heterogeneous clouds and other resources to create a truly global test platform. For many of SOASTA’s customers, the emulation of real world Web conditions from different geographies, different time zones, and at different levels of scale, has become increasingly important. In addition to testing geographical breadth and scale, some applications require load to be generated from specific locales. For example, IP-restricted, dynamic, streaming content that, by law, is only available to users within a particular country or region must be tested from within that region.

“We are pleased to contribute to the large and growing test resources amassed by the SOASTA CloudTest Platform. As Web and mobile applications continue to attract global audiences, performance testing at scale from specific locations world-wide becomes paramount,” stated David Corriveau, President and CTO of Radix Technologies.
