EmpowerNet California is currently seeking partner organizations to attend their next Training Academy to learn how to successfully launch an A+ certification program.
"At least one qualified organization who attends our next training academy will be granted up to $25,000 to start an A+ Computer repair training program" says Joe McKinley, CEO of EmpowerNet California. The grant will help organizations with the start-up costs involved in launching such a program.
EmpowerNet hosts Training Academies to educate organizations on how to start their own program based on the proven Stride Center model. No other program has achieved the same success as the Stride Center which takes a holistic approach to training students. “By combining the technical training with life skills and professional development, we set students up for success in the real world.” says McKinley.
Organizations who commit to partnering with EmpowerNet will receive all the tools and resources needed for successful implementation. Tools include a proven curriculum, budgets, best practices, organizational philosophy, workforce development and income generation strategies. An added benefit is the specialized consulting EmpowerNet offers to address individual organizational needs and concerns.
According to charter training academy member, Karen Wade of Foundations for Successful Solutions based in Los Angeles, "These are jewels that you are getting. I have been in community technology for a long time. I have followed with great interest the progress the Stride Center has made and I count it a privilege."
EmpowerNet’s next Training Academy will take place May 17-20 in Oakland.
