Country music sensation Miranda Lambert will headline the 2011 West Coast Country Music Festival at Fort Mason in San Francisco on Saturday, August 20, 2011: http://sfcountrymusic.com.
Miranda Lambert, recent winner of four Academy of Country Music Awards including Best Single of the Year, Best Video of the Year, Best Song of the Year, and Top Female Vocalist, will top off a day of music, food, family, friends and entertainment. Lambert, the saucy country singer who first collared listeners in 2006 with her fiery debut single “Kerosene,” won the 2011 Grammy Award for female country vocal performance for “The House That Built Me.” The contemplative track is from “Revolution,” her third studio album that has sold more than 1.1 million copies since its September 2009 release.
Founded in 2010, the West Coast Country Music Festival overlooks the San Francisco Bay and will also present country music artists Gloriana, Walker Hayes and Randy Rogers Band. The day’s events include traditional barbeque, free wagon rides, roping and line dancing tent.
The event benefits Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training http://sfcountrymusic.com/Charity.html.
