BubbleView.com Helps People Visualize Lists in a New Way

BubbleView is a new type of software for managing lists of items that offers an unusual, freeform alternative to spreadsheets or tables.

It represents a more natural, visual way of organizing groups of items.

Notion Research LLC today announced the launch of BubbleView (http://www.bubbleview.com), a small, cloud based application designed to help people visually organize lists of items in a freeform manner.

The product allows users to place “items” on an open canvas and then arrange them into “bubbles”. The purpose of this is to provide capabilities not found in a traditional spreadsheet or table, such as viewing a larger number of items at once, visually grouping those items in space, and only revealing further details when necessary. It is described as somewhat like a digital version of sticky notes on a wall.

"BubbleView grew out of personal frustration with trying to prioritize new product capabilities using traditional tools like spreadsheets or project management software," said Dave Shackleton, President of Notion Research LLC.  "It represents a more natural, visual way of organizing groups of items."

One benefit of the unusual structure of BubbleView is the ability to quickly change perspective on the same data. So, for example, when used to track tasks for a project team, one “view” might show a visualization of the tasks by priority, while another view might show the same tasks by person.

BubbleView is offered as software as a service (SaaS). A free version allows anyone to try the product risk-free, and subscriptions start at $9 per month.

Notion Research LLC is a privately held, independent software vendor (ISV) and contract product research company.
