56 percent of business leaders do not believe human resource departments provide any business value. nowHIRE, in conjunction with HRchitect and ADP, is hosting an exclusive networking event that aims to educate attendees on the requirement for HR to be considered a strategic function.

The networking event and presentation, taking place on Thursday, April 14 in Long Beach, Calif., is open to C-level human resource and business executives. "Making Your HR Department a Profit Center," features internationally acclaimed human resource executive Cindy Lubitz. Attendees are eligible to receive two strategic HRCI credits for participating in the event.

Cindy Lubitz is the founder and managing director of Talent Consulting Group, LLC, an Atlanta-based human resources consulting firm. The firm is well known for its strategies to improve companies' talent acquisition and talent management effectiveness. In just the last five years, her firm has led talent projects for companies like Assurant, Toys R Us, Chick-fil-A, TJMaxx, Equifax, WCRI, Turner, Dow Jones, Microsoft and Coca Cola.

Lubitz has a Masters in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia. Lubitz will share landmark new board risk regulations that will transform the role of HR leadership and recruiting, as well as real numbers for driving earnings and shareholder value. She will also present the business value of applicant tracking systems and best practices in recruiting automation and workflows.

"There's a significant disconnect between what HR leaders and business leaders believe is their business contribution," said Joseph N. Impastato, II, nowHIRE's president and chief executive officer. "Our goal for this event is to educate attendees on the essential requirements for HR to be considered strategic, and ultimately, win a seat at the decision-making table."
