Boulder, CO (PRWEB) April 11, 2011
MD-IT, a leading provider of medical documentation software and service to ambulatory clinics and physician offices, announced that it has concluded a merger agreement with MDnetwork, Inc. Bard Betz, CEO of privately-held MDnetwork, has joined MD-IT as Vice President of Channel Development, where he is responsible for leading the company’s business for innovative new services and for establishing strategic partnerships with clients and vendors.
Founded in 2000, MDnetwork serves 100 hospitals and ambulatory clinics and more than 2,000 physicians located in eighteen states. MDnetwork, which will continue as a division of MD IT, specializes in optimizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to increase physician adoption through a combination of integrated technology and dictation services.
“MDnetwork’s business model is to deliver on the failed promises of EMR technology. We deploy proven strategies and proprietary technology to achieve the physician utilization and data capture necessary to rescue disappointing EMR implementations, and to enhance successful ones,” stated Mr. Betz. “Meaningful improvements in financial performance, physician satisfaction, clinical documentation and outcomes are the result. We feel strongly that MD-IT, with its dominant position in the ambulatory market, allows MDnetwork to expand its offerings and drive EMR success stories by further leveraging physicians’ preferred documentation methods.”
“We are very excited to welcome MDnetwork to MD-IT”, added Tom Carson, president and CEO of MD-IT. “Bard has built his successful business around a strong focus on fulfilling the practical needs of physicians – the same value set on which MD-IT’s growth is based. While the overall adoption of EMR systems in the ambulatory segment of healthcare has not been impressive, there is a new generation of companies and products that will dramatically improve performance in the future, and MD-IT and MDnetwork are driving that generational change.”
MD IT is a medical documentation company with an innovative delivery model that optimizes the use of EMR software and transcription services. The company provides services and software to over 7,700 physicians and clinicians in 900 medical practices and hospitals throughout the United States. MD IT offers the only software products on the market today that include modules for dictation/transcription, speech recognition, document management, and electronic medical records (EMR) in one bundled solution. The privately-held company is located in Boulder, CO, with regional offices throughout the US. Additional information can be found at md it.com and mdnetwork.com.
