The International School of Hospitality Now Offers Career Exploration Workshops

Online Hospitality Career Exploration workshops feature narrated PowerPoint and one-on-one consultations with industry professionals to help participants decide if the hospitality industry is for them. Workshops are available in fields including conference/event, wedding, concierge, hotel operations, human resources and catering.

Career Explorations at TISOH allows participants to spend an hour with industry professionals to discuss if the field meets with their personal interests and career goals.

The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) today announced the launch of an online series of program workshops that will help participants decide if the hospitality industry is right for them. Called Career Exploration in Hospitality, this one-of-a-kind program is available in the six key industry areas of conference management & event planning, wedding coordination, concierge, hotel operations, hospitality human resources and catering. Each Career Exploration program is one and a half hours in length and consists of a narrated PowerPoint presentation introducing the specific career field and follows with an hour long, one-on-one telephone consultation with an industry professional. To support participants’ interests to explore new careers, each program is priced at $89.

Should participants decide to pursue a career in hospitality or retrain themselves for advancement in the industry, The International School of Hospitality offers certificate and diploma programs in all of these key hospitality fields – Conference Management & Event Planning, Wedding Coordination & Design, The Art of Concierge, Event Design & Production, Art of Food & Beverage, Meeting & Event Catering, and Hospitality Leadership & Supervision.

TISOH’s summer classroom schedule for these seven certificate and two diploma hospitality courses begins the week of May 16 and continues for three to six months. Diploma programs are vocational and provide comprehensive learning in a specific field with relevant management training. Courses are specially designed to accommodate working schedules. Enrollment is limited. TISOH’s campus is conveniently located close to McCarran International Airport at 3614 E. Sunset Road, Suite 110.

In addition, TISOH announced the schedules for four, 5-week FASTtrack certificate programs in Conference Management & Event Planning, Art of Concierge, Hotel Operations and Wedding Coordination & Design, all beginning July 11, 2011. A separate FASTtrack program in Hospitality Human Resources begins May 16, 2011. FASTtrack programs meet daily and feature the same instructional team of credentialed industry professional instructors.

All TISOH programs are available online with rolling admissions. Online programs at TISOH are self-paced, feature audio/visual PowerPoint presentations with one-to-one instruction. Students can start whenever enrollment procedures are complete.
