BubbleView.com Helps Product Managers Prioritize New Features

BubbleView is a new type of software that gives Product Managers an unusual, freeform alternative to spreadsheets or tables for managing product roadmaps.

It represents a more natural, visual way of organizing groups of items.

Notion Research LLC today announced the launch of BubbleView (http://www.bubbleview.com), a small, cloud based application designed to help Product Managers visually organize and prioritize future product features.

Unlike project tracking tools that manage the development of features that have already been committed and scheduled, BubbleView is focused on the earlier decision-making that occurs when Product Managers are considering possibilities. Because this involves a much larger number of alternatives with complex interrelationships, traditional tools like spreadsheets or databases often lack the flexibility required. To combat this, BubbleView provides a more open and intuitive user interface for managing individual options or “items” and grouping them visually into “bubbles”.

"BubbleView grew out of personal frustration with trying to prioritize new product capabilities using traditional tools like spreadsheets or project management software," said Dave Shackleton, President of Notion Research LLC.  "It represents a more natural, visual way of organizing groups of items."

The product is described as somewhat like a digital version of sticky notes on a wall but with additional benefits. Product Managers can add any number of additional attributes or notes to each item and only drill-down into the details when necessary. Different views can also be created on the same information. For example, one view might show future product features grouped by priority while another might show the same features grouped by resources required.

BubbleView is offered as software as a service (SaaS). A free version allows risk-free trials of the product, and subscriptions start at $9 per month.

Notion Research LLC is a privately held, independent software vendor (ISV) and contract product research company.
