“Our commitment to focus on the needs of the learner as well as the teacher brought these programs to life,” says Sarah White, President and Founder of Six Red Marbles.

Six Red Marbles’ entire suite of online multi-media teaching programs - Juba™, a whole-brain learning exploration for young learners; Waza™, an interactive math readiness adventure; and Cabanga™, a celebrity agent role-playing game for middle school math - have each won a 2011 Best Educational Software Awards (BESSIE).

The BESSIE Awards, in its 17th year, target innovative and content-rich programs and websites that provide parents and teachers the technology to foster educational excellence. Juba won the Early Learning Pre-Literacy Website Award, Waza the Early Learning Math Website Award, and Cabanga the Middle School Interactive Math Game Website Award. The awards are sponsored by ComputED Gazette.

“Our commitment to focus on the needs of the learner as well as the teacher brought these programs to life. We are thrilled and honored that all three programs in our suite were recognized with BESSIE awards,” says Sarah White, President and Founder of Six Red Marbles.

Juba, Waza, and Cabanga engage kids in learning through a multi-sensory interactive environment based on what neuroscience research tells us about how kids learn best. Each program supports whole-brain learning and is structured to develop a motivation for and joy of learning through novelty and increased opportunities for success. All programs feature an integrated Spanish/English Toggle allowing kids to seamlessly switch languages for extra ELL support or to learn another language. The seamless adaptive curriculum in Waza and Cabanga supports differentiated instruction, allowing kids to learn at their own pace. Feedback and instructional coaching allow students to have a positive and personalized learning experience.

The programs are delivered online and correlated to Common Core, State, and ISTE NETS learning standards, as well as NCTM (for Waza and Cabanga) and NAEYC and Head Start (for Juba). Each features a Teacher Dashboard that provides real-time tracking of student progress and access to comprehensive reporting. The programs can be accessed anywhere and anytime, and the Home Connection feature fosters teacher, student, and parent communication.
