Award-winning Author Launches National Book Tour with a Fun and Inspiring Challenge to Women

Dressed in their diva best, women, their mothers and their daughters will be celebrating empowerment with sparkling cider, champagne and chocolates, and listening to unbeatable advice as award-winning author, Patricia V. Davis launches a nationwide “Diva Dare Tour” for her book, "The Diva Doctrine: 16 Universal Principles Every Woman Needs to Know."

Stops include major cities in New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Illinois, Arizona, and all throughout California, as “Diva Davis” makes author appearances at every type of venue from bookshops to nightclubs to Sweet 16 parties to private Diva Dare house gatherings. Patricia will be joined for a number of readings and book signings by fun celebrity guests, such as sassy, all-girl New York comedy troupe, The Italian Chicks, San Francisco drag sensation, Chlamydia Killroy, and the west coast’s hottest 30’s swing band, Slim Jenkins. At every gathering, those who come dressed as their “favorite diva’ will be eligible to win a basket of diva goodies.

The Diva Doctrine sprang from a blog post of Patricia’s, “From an Older Woman to a Younger One” that went viral, was tweeted and retweeted, and even translated into several languages. Some highlights from that post that now appear in her book:

“The only thing you should be faking is confidence.”

“Put nothing in your body that can permanently harm your spirit, including the wrong man.”

“A ‘True Diva’ is a woman who’s clever, confident, classy, powerful, passionate, and compassionate.”

From health to money to love to inner beauty, Davis’ witty tales and revelations are, according to New York Times bestselling author, Brenda Novak, “a beacon of hope” for women everywhere.
