Summer Advantage USA is an academic enrichment program that partners with schools, school districts and parents to provide scientifically proven and cost effective summer learning programs to school-aged children.

The positions are for the 2011 summer program to be held at Hawthorne Elementary School.

The following positions are open:

  • Assistant Program Manager (1)
  • Academic Teachers - certified educators (25)
  • Enrichment Teachers (25)
  • Teacher’s Assistants (25)
  • School Nurse - licensed RN (1)

Teacher Assistant’s are not required to be certified, but must have a background working with children; including tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, or instructional assistant experience. The position is open to community members, school staff, university students or AmeriCorps members.

Enrichment teachers should be creative individuals with drama, arts, music, physical education background, and must also have experience working with children.
