Iasa is pleased to announce a partnership with the Universidad de los Andes in Columbia for the First National IT Architecture Forum will be realized the Thursday, Apr 14. The main subject will be the role of the IT architect and the formation of work teams. The event will be realized in the University of the Andes and broadcast live to other two universities in Colombia, (Santiago de Cali and Mariana de Pasto Universities). This event kicks of a series of programs for Spanish speaking architects. As a part of the first program, Iasa is set to host its first-ever Spanish webinar on Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 3pm – 4pm CST. Presented by William Martinez, Costa Rica Chapter President, this webinar features three experts in a panel discussion discussing their experience in investigation, promotion of knowledge and establishment of solutions to the needs Architecture of commercial sectors and of the government. Questions discussed will be:

  •     What has been achieved?
  •     What are the future and immediate challenges for architects?
  •     What are the opportunities and weaknesses of the environment in the region?

This event will kick off a monthly series of Webinars “En Español”. This comprehensive webinar series is presented by the Iasa South American chapter alliance among Costa Rica, Colombia and Chile, and is held over the next 6 months. Each one-hour session will introduce an Iasa Chapter in South America, an interesting IT Architecture topic and will be followed by Q&A.
