EnSA Holdings Announces New Executive Management Appointment

EnSA Holdings announced today Michael C. Denny has been appointed COO and President of EnSA’s Dominican operating company, Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture, EnSA-DR, SRL.

EnSA Holdings, LLC (the “Company” or “EnSA”), a company acquiring farm land and conducting farming operations in the Dominican Republic, announced today Michael C. Denny (44) will join as Chief Operating Officer and President of EnSA’s Dominican operating company, Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture (EnSA-DR, SRL.)

“Mike Denny brings 25 years of high volume agricultural production including post harvest processing, asset management, capital management, risk analysis, agricultural land development, and agricultural commodity sales. He will relocate to the Dominican Republic and we look forward to him working with our DR team in applying his many years of successful growing experience and wide ranging technical skills that have shown tremendous results in his past positions to EnSA’s large scale Dominican farms,” said Jonathan May, President & CEO of the Company.

Prior to joining EnSA, Mr. Denny was Chief Executive Officer of a 3,800-acre, 93-year-old, privately held agribusiness consisting of 3,100 acres of rice production, an 11,250 ton drying and storage facility, and 700 acres of almond, walnut, plum, and pecan production. During his six year tenure as CEO, Mr. Denny was responsible for increasing rice production by 25% and in 2010 was able to achieve a remarkable production rate of 12.4 metric tons of paddy rice per hectare (5.0/acre). In addition, during his tenure, orchard production increased 20%. A recognized advocate of sustainable farm techniques, Mr. Denny was able through detailed analysis to significantly streamline the company’s equipment fleet resulting in a 40% reduction in equipment requirements and approximately a 20% reduction in fuel usage and a 30% reduction in labor per acre.

From 1998-2004, Mr. Denny served as Executive Vice President of an Oroville, California high-density olive oil growing and processing company. Prior to 1998, Mr. Denny specialized in the development and sale of agricultural real estate. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California.

EnSA focuses its efforts on the use of global best practices in agricultural technology and sustainability that optimize annual output and profitability. EnSA’s initial crop emphasis is growing, milling and selling rice in the local Dominican market beginning in 2011 with export operations expected to begin in 2012.
