With its latest release to their website, hopes to make shopping for digital services easier for consumers. Wednesday’s 4.1 release includes several enhancements, including a better user interface, side-by-side comparison options, and the ability for mobile device users to shop for better deals.

After decades of having no choices involving their cable or phone services, and then several years of being inundated with unsolicited calls about long-distance providers, consumers are now in the driver’s seat. With telecommunications companies offering cable TV, and cable TV companies offering Internet service, and Internet companies offering phone services – prices are being driven down because of competition.

But getting all three services – digital cable TV, high-speed Internet and home phone – is still an expensive endeavor for most people. With channel counts climbing, along with the number of high-definition channels and on-demand possibilities, it makes sense that costs continue to rise.
