I Love Rewards, the leader in employee rewards and recognition solutions, has been honored as a recipient of the 2011 WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces ™ award, which recognizes organizations dedicated to amplifying the possibilities of human potential through organizational democracy.

"One out of four Americans feel like they work in a dictatorship, yet 80 percent of employees feel that if they had more freedom at work, their overall performance would improve," comments WorldBlu Founder and CEO, Traci Fenton. "WorldBlu-certified organizations model how more freedom – rather than fear and control in the workplace – increases innovation and employee engagement, as well as boosting the bottom-line."

The WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces ™ is organized by WorldBlu, an Austin-based social enterprise. The 52 company list is made up of organizations that demonstrate the practice of ten democratic principles, including purpose and vision, transparency, fairness and dignity, choice on leadership, integrity, dialogue and listening, accountability, individual and collective, decentralization, and reflection and evaluation. Employees from participating organizations were given a survey based on a decade of research on what makes a world-class democratic organization. The WorldBlu LIVE conference and Gala Awards ceremony will be held May 19-20 in San Francisco.

"I Love Rewards practices transparent, two-way communication that empowers employees to play a larger role within the organization and have a voice in shaping our future, which continues to generate innovation, excellence, and growth," said Razor Suleman, CEO and Founder, I Love Rewards. "We're excited to be recognized by WorldBlu for the third consecutive year for our people-based cultural philosophy and contribute to their mission to cultivate and sustain democratic workplaces."

In addition to I Love Rewards, the recipients include Zappos, Groupon, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, Glassdoor, WD-40, 3i Infotech, HCL Technologies, New Belgium Brewery, Great Harvest Bread Company and many more.
