Xcel Products, Inc. exhibited at its fifth and most successful GlobalShop yet. At this year’s GlobalShop, Xcel introduced an exciting new product for the printing and packaging industries--Aeris-InCycle®. Aeris-InCycle® is a product that reduces the environmental impact, is made from post-consumer recycled water bottles and is fully recyclable. Other sustainable solutions highlighted in Xcel Products’ booth were the Visual Magnetics® Graphic System, TerraSkin®XP and EcoMedia 15-mil Blockout Banner.

Aeris-InCycle®
Aeris-InCycle® is a product that reduces the environmental impact, is made from post-consumer recycled water bottles and is fully recyclable. This expanded PET product is designed to be used in both the printing and packaging industries. Aeris-InCycle® is lightweight, environmentally sustainable and economical, making it an ideal product for printing and packaging companies.

The manufacturing of Aeris®-InCycle utilizes Ad-Air® Technology. Ad-Air® Technology is a simple concept with a patented and highly-refined process to expand plastics while in a solid state, as opposed to conventional foaming techniques. This allows for very precise control of bubble size and placement and eliminates the need to use potentially harmful foaming agents. Products made with Aeris®-InCycle use less plastic by weight than with conventional methods and as a result, greatly lower the environmental impact of plastic containers by reducing the amount of source material used.

The Visual Magnetics® Graphic System
The Visual Magnetics® Graphic System has become today’s top retailer’s premier choice for in-store, large-format displays. This system continues to grow in popularity as retailers have realized quicker R.O.I’s simply by reducing costly shipping/packaging and installation labor. Visual Magnetics, LP and Xcel Products introduced the Visual Magnetics® Graphic System at GlobalShop 2007. Xcel is proud of the success and working collaboration it shares with Visual Magnetics, LP and looks forward to our future together.

TerraSkin®XP
TerraSkin® XP is an eco-friendly, pulp-free paper made from stone.

TerraSkin® XP is a combination of 80% stone (calcium carbonate) with a 20% PE (polyethylene) non-toxic resin to create a strong, sustainable substrate. The Calcium Carbonate comes from construction waste material; such as, marble, limestone and chalk scraps which are ground down to a fine powder. The PE is post-industrial recycled and acts as the binder for the Calcium Carbonate. TerraSkin® XP outperforms traditional paper with its moisture and tear resistance.

EcoMedia™
EcoMedia™ is a revolutionary line of non-pvc films designed for large-format printers utilizing UV-cured inks. EcoMedia™ products are designed and formulated to be environmentally responsible without compromising quality, performance or functionality. The products are constructed from a co-polymer blend that is both recyclable and degradable. EcoMedia™ 15-mil Blockout delivers high-performance with 2-sided printability, outdoor strength and stability making it the perfect cost-effective alternative to traditional PVC Banner.
