CloudPrime announced today that they have entered into a multi-year agreement with IBM to make their Application–to-Application secure messaging service available on the IBM Cloud. The parties have also entered into a joint development agreement that will enable transparent connection of remote offices or locations to an MQ Infrastructure whether or not the sites are MQ provisioned.
Currently, over 10,000 organizations leverage IBM's WebSphere MQ family of products to connect IT systems to an SOA Universal Messaging Backbone. The CloudPrime/MQ integrated solution will allow all of CloudPrime’s functionality to be made available to extend the footprint of IBM WebSphere MQ Series to locations where it may not be practical to provision the complete MQ solution.
“We see a very substantial business opportunity to provide WebSphere MQ customers with the security and ease of deployment benefits of our service along with the global scalability and reliability of the IBM Cloud Platform,” said Bob Miller, CEO of CloudPrime.
"We have been working with a variety of innovative technology companies that will enhance our cloud offerings. With CloudPrime, we add a key element to our industry cloud focus by offering a complete and secure cloud-based messaging service. This offering will target industry-based partner ecosystems such as healthcare, which often require regulatory compliant interactions between large partners wanting to leverage their own WebSphere MQ assets, and small partners who have little to no IT,” added Lauren States, IBM Vice President for Cloud Technology and Strategy.
The joint development agreement with CloudPrime will provide WebSphere MQ Series customers an opportunity to have a Cloud-based service which will enable them to leverage their existing investments in MQ. With the CloudPrime offering these new or expanded sites can be brought on line in a matter of minutes.
CloudPrime will be showcasing their application connectivity services at the IBM Impact 2011 conference being held in Las Vegas from April 10th – 15th.
